Chicken Pakoda


This is the most yummiest snack you can have on a rainy day , absolutely for chicken and pakoda lovers.

Ingredients are pretty simple and easy to collect . This was the most noticeable recipe in my Facebook page  . unfortunately i can only have one edited picture all other pics i have missed .

May be next time when i make i will take more tempting  pics and upload

                        Chicken Pakoda

Step I  Marination

Ingredients and Method 

  1. Chicken -250 gms (boneless chicken cubed, select chicken breast)
  2. Ginger Garlic Paste-2 tsp
  3. Red Chili Powder-2 tsp
  4. Garam Masala Powder-1/4 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder-1/tsp
  6. Curry powder(optional)-a pinch(just for flavor)
  7. Pepper corn-5 crushed else use 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  8. Salt- as required 

Mix all the ingredients from 2-8  in a bowl, Make a smooth paste .Add chicken pieces, mix it well and marinade for at least 2 hrs

STEP II Batter Preparation

Ingredients and Method

  1. Chick pea flour/ Besan- 1 cup
  2. Rice flour-1 tbsp
  3. Oregano(optional)- a pinch (just for flavor)
  4. Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  5. Chili powder-1 tsp
  6. Curry powder-a pinch(optional)
  7. Garam masala-a pinch
  8. Baking Powder-1/4 tsp
  9. Coriander leaves Chopped-1 tbsp
  10. Oil-1/2 tsp
  11. Salt as required
  12. Water as required for making batter
  13. Oil for deep frying

Take a bowl and add all the ingredients noted from 1-8,these are the dry ingredients. Add salt accordingly(we have already added salt in chicken ).

 Add water slowly, step by step to make a batter of dropping consistency.(add little water mix well , then add water again).Add chopped coriander leaves

Heat oil in a wok/kadhai. Take the marinated chicken and dip in batter one by one, and drop gently in oil. (use fork for dipping the chicken in batter and then drop it in oil).

Deep fry till golden in medium flame, and drain on paper towel. 

Serve with Green chutney/ Tomato Sauce along with Hot Cup of Tea
